Kathy telling a story about bobbly-eyed glasses and rattling motorcyclists. You'll hafta ask her for the whole story. *snicker* Sorry this movie is sideways.Julie, Kristy and Lisa continued to man (woman?) the dye vats and crank out some interesting pulps. Cris, Kathy and Sunni took a quick mold and deckle manufacturing lesson from Kristy and then proceeded to make their new tools. Sunni didn't use enough epoxy around the edges of her screen, so she ended up stepping on it to keep the screen in contact with the epoxy until it set up. Lisa peeked in on the proceedings. Movie: 1.4Kb/15 seconds
Cris melted her screen with the heat gun. It can happen so fast!!Sharon, in blue denim and her daughter, Shannon - in white - demonstrated how to mix kozo/gampi pulps into the vat with synthetic Neri and then showed her pseudo-su method of pulling sheets. The kozo/gampi sheets are then pressed to a board and set in the shade so they dry slowly and stay flat. Note: The kozo/gampi mix has very little shrinkage, is a very strong paper and can be pulled very thin. Movie: 1.4Kb/15 seconds
Sharon showing the water viscosity after adding Neri to the kozo/gampi vat. Sorry folks, it's sideways. *sigh* So drop your head onto your left shoulder....
