This lanky flower is located behind the Pelican Theaters in dry, arid, alkaline soil.

The plant ranged close to 10-12 inches in height.

This is a colony of pretty small flowers growing in arid soil and full sun behind the Pelican Theaters off Biehn Street.

I'd say the tallest was no higher than the width across the palm of my hand. The flowers were the size of the eraser on the end of a wooden pencil.
