 Being a knapweed and cousin to thistle, these little beauties make terrific paper. My lucky day this is a noxious weed! |

 Found this little thing in Farmer Phil's ditch. Only three inches tall, but it does grow taller. Seems the cows like it. |
 Alkaline, moist soil. The first five pictures were taken July 7. |

 While a crop weed and irradication is encouraged, there were not enough of these to even do a fiber test on for paper.. |
