Cornflower
Centaurea cyanus L
aka A'Nber, Aciano, Bachelor button, Bleuet, Bluebottle, Bluebow, Blue Cap, Cornflour, Garden Cornflower, Hurtsickle, Korenbloem, Mawi Pighember Chichegi, Peygamber Cicegi, Sentoria
I noticed these blooming in June. So far, they are blooming through October.
They can be found all lover the Klamath Basin. They grow in arid, alkaline soil.
I took these pictures in the fields behind the State Police station.
.

.
First week of August and they've set seed. Pretty things!
This and the next eight pictures were taken October 2.
