Greasewood
Sarcobatus
vermiculatus (Hook.) Torr. |

aka Black Greasewood
chicowood |

The first 17 pictures were taken July 14. |

This little oddity was on a plant regrowing after a burn. A month later I
couldn't find it as all the plants grew to look normal. |

These greasewoods were located all along the Midland Road from Tingley to
the curve just before Midland. |

This is Spring Valley and was once almost completely covered
in water fed by a spring. Now it is an alkali
flat. |

Companion plants: Saltgrass, Shephard's purse. |
