These grow all over the Klamath Basin, but the specimens shown here are in my yard.

The rosettes appeared in late February/early March.

The plants in my yard lack nutrients and moisture so they are stunted and single stalks.

The plants by the dock at the Klamath Wildlife Reserve have rich soil and a modicum more noisture,

These plants are multi-branched and grow about 3-4 feet while in my yard they grow to only 6-7 inches.

The blooms began to show by April.
