Rosettes appear late March or early April. They mature quickly and bloom within two to three weeks. They finally died back in July.
These were found growing mostly around the juniper trees on our property.
You can, however, find them just about everywhere in the Klamath Basin.
Edible and medicinal
These grow in arid, loose, alkaline soil.
