Nodding bur-weed
Bidens cernua L.var. cernua
aka Nodding bur-marigold
I found this in the little backwater across Highway 97 from the cormorant snag on Lake Ewauna
I don't remember what time of year other than it was Summer.
Ripgut Brome
Bromus diandrus
aka Bromegrass, ripgut grass
Found in my yard. 3% grade, dry, well drained arid soil, full sun.
Being a grass, it will make a nice paper.
Not native.
This is an early grass, dying back by the time late Spring starts to heat up.
