This tree was alongside Highway 140 just as you come out of the mountains onto the
flat area running alongside Upper Klamath Lake. |

I thought the catkins were some kinda cool. Someday, when I can afford the gas, I'll go
back later in the year and get follow up photos. |

Soil is alkaline and moist giving the tree "wet feet but dry ankles." |
