My name is Sunni and I'm a dedicated crafter. I have and still do, dabble in a wide variety of mediums. I have a questing mind and an overactive imagination and I'm always looking at the world around me with an eye towards "making something like that" myself or "what can I turn that into."
But I always come back to two mediums, beads and polymer clays. My favorite online hangouts for polymer clay are Polymer Clay Central and Yahoogroups clay-polymer, polymerclayfigurines, UKPolyClay, and novice_sculptors. Following are projects I have accomplished. Pictures and stories will be added as I complete each project!! Enjoy!
Swaps A swap is given number of individuals agree on a theme and manufacture a set number of items. The artists are free to interpret that theme in clay within the parameters given by the Swapmeister (host/hostess). All items are then mailed to the Swapmeister. The Swapmeister then mixes up all the items and sends them back to the participants so each person gets one item from each of the participants excluding his or her own work! (You send out 10 of your own, get 10 back of other peoples'!)

- The PCC Sticks and Stones Swap - Make any item to include found natural objects as design elements. Use them as an actual piece of the creation (like grass seeds on the outside of a vessel or use pebbles, sticks, leaves, seeds, bark, etc... to add texture, inclusions, or stencil effects.
- Wizard Pantry Swap - Using the Harry Potter children's books as inspiration, several members of Polymer Clay People Yahoo Group got together and made spice bottles and whatnot that you would imagine finding in the pantry of your favorite wizard.
Just Plain Ol' Projects
- Tibetan Malas - "Mala" is the Nepalese word for "string of beads." These strings of beads are used as prayer beads and are predominantly fashioned after the buddhist patterns. Go here to see the long mala with the traditional 108 beads and an abbreviated mala or wrist mala. Wrist malas are popularly known as "power bracelets."
- TLS Experiments - TLS is Transparent Liquid Sculpey. It is the basic ingredient for the polymer clays in liquid form and is quite versatile. These are some of the things I've been playing with to press the parameters of the medium.
- Jewelry - This page will be updated whenever I make any new jewelry items. Right now it only has my lone Celtic Dragon Knot pin inspired by Cari Buziak of Aon Celtic Art & Illumination.
- Clay Paintings - Experiments in clay painting and bas relief.
- CheeNecklaces - Collars I have made for my cheewawas (chihuahuas).
- Paper & Clay - These go together like peanutbutter and jam. I've been intrigued with papermaking for years and recently with book binding. This page will show my endeavors.

TRIP REPORTS As I wander the country selling, learning and teaching, I keep a pictorial account of my adventures. They are listed below for your viewing and reading pleasure.
- Sarah Shriver and Barbara McGuire Kaliedoscope Cane and Stamping on Clay workshop.
- My journal of what I'm learning while starting out in the local fair circuit.
- My trip to Sandy Camp VI in 2004
- Grant Diffendaffer's class for Totally Textured Beads.
- Beginner Basics This is a page of links to all kinds of things to help the newbie clayer. Tutorials, tips, whatever I can find that'll help. Please bookmark this page as it will continually be growing as I find more links.
- Helpful Links for Beginners to Online Selling These are the links I've gathered and found to be the most useful in learning how to create, setup, launch, maintain and advertise an online store. I hope they serve you as well as they have me.
- Pictures of Flowers I've taken quite a few pictures of wildflowers, bouquets and potted plants. Just whatever catches my fancy. The pictures are VERY close up to the flowers because someday I would like to render all the Oregon wildflowers around my area into clay. You can almost imagine it's a "bee's eye view!" The thumbnails link you to a really big photo so you can see just how a flower looks. Much better than having a flower in hand!!! At least for my old eyes! So be patient, these pages are very graphics heavy.
- If you have a Kemper Claygun and can't get it to work, go to the PolymerClayCyclopedia and check out their page on clayguns and adapters.
