"Cold Crone"
by Sunni Bergeron
Sculpted with polymer clays: Sculpey for the Crone and Fimo for the blanket and coffee cup. This little crone was my very first sculpture and created by following a tutorial for crones by Marj Franke. I had never attempted a 3D figure before. Looking back, she's ugly as home made sin, but I'm still quite pleased with her. Not too bad for a first and ya gotta start somewhere, huh? The name Cold Crone came from my vision of a crone (me) sitting in the cold morning air waking up to a delightful new day wrapped all warm and toasty in a blanket with the morning's hot cuppa. And imagine - this little lady tied for third place in the January 2001 contest at Polymer Clay Central!! The theme for the contest was, obviously, Warm. *crooked grin*
