I was too exhausted to get up early one more day and, due to the sleep disorder I have, ended up sleeping through most of the day and not arriving at the tent until 4.30pm. I missed the arrival of the rest of the attendees and found the tennis court alive with activity. I was tickled to see Donna Kato and a couple other members sporting Seussian headbands that could be easily seen in the ebb and flow of people into and around the tent.
I also missed the first three demonstrations which, I heard, were inspirational. I attended the demo by Judith Skinner to find Glitz and Glitter were nothing like I expected and her technique rendered elegant and tasteful designs. Carolyn Potter showed us how to emboss thin sheets of copper complete with an attached bail. Her method of incorporating the bail into the original design was most ingenious and an answer to my own design troubles for alternatives to split rings.
Dinner was again at the Anza Restaurant with the Katzes, Rita, Jean, Judith Skinner, ???, Bonnie, Trina and Kathi Davis. And again, there was much laughter as we solved all the problems of the world.
I puttered around the tent visiting with old and new friends and seeing who was doing what. I worked a trade with Lisa Pavelka, promising her a feather duster for one of her necklaces. I built the cane I planned to use on her duster and ran out of steam around midnight.
I walked back to the cottage and stealthily crawled into my bed to keep from awakening Jean and fell promptly into slumber.
