Serendipity strikes again. I forgot one of the boxes which happened to have the table covering in it. The sheets I had stuffed into the car and just never gotten around to unpacking were a light blue and rose pink. !!!! They look much nicer than all the greens. They're lighter, more airy and more cheerful on top of making the merchandise easier to see. Hmmmm. However, until we can afford to buy a few yards of material, we will probably go back to the greens in the next set up.
Also new is the hardwood boll stand for the Wildwood Hairstix and the Hair Dangles. You'll see that in the last two photos. With a few hooks left over, we hung some of Ruthie's bracelets. I just happen to have another boll in the shed I can convert.
Being indoors, we were able to access an electrical outlet. I need to put on my checklist regular extention cords, not just the big orange one and the multi-outlet strip. We were only able to use one out of four lights I took. As it is, the other lights would require me to finish the drawers into shelves and add screws where I can attach them. They were under-counter flourescent lights. Guess what I'm doing this winter....
Traffic was good and the lighting did help draw people. Also, the heighth of the shelves was a good draw for folks at a distance, too. This crowd was a really polite bunch, so Ruthie and I had to do some hawking to pull them to the table. It is just amazing how many people who planned on drifting by swerved to our table when we grinned and said, "Please touch!" It really joggles their minds and makes them curious. Plus, we rarely sit down, we are never reading and we visit with each other rarely (THAT one is hard since we enjoy each other's company!). When I did work on something, I made sure it was noisy - so sanding the egg hand rattles, Sunni Shakers, would catch their attention and they would watch while I rattled away. I'd smile and start my spiel.... *wink*
