The Art Show held to raise funds for the Artisan Community was a juried show where the artists were expected to demonstrate how they create their work as well as have items for sale. I didn't sell a single thing. However, I did get a lot of interest from people in taking classes or getting together for regular clay days.
I was pleased with the way I set up my display and, it seems, the audience was also pleased. I received numerous compliments from seasoned artisans who frequent fairs as well as potential customers. I didn't forget anything this time. In fact, I had too much. *sigh*
The demonstration portion kept me talking nonstop the entire two days. I ended up with a sore throat by the end of the second day! But I learned people are fascinated with the medium and there are a lot of them in the area who are clueless about it! Teaching just might be the way for me to go. I will be checking with local craft stores to see if there is an interest in having teachers.
